Borderline Tendencies Timeline
December 27th, 2013 – North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un, tried of being made a mockery by the rest of the world, makes good on his threat. He first targets the United States. Unfortunately for him, his missiles aren’t able to come close to reach the mainland of the North America. He instead choose United States territories in the Pacific Ocean as well as almost the entirety of Hawaii.
December 28th, 2013 – President Obama holds a press conference addressing the bombing, and promising "swift but well thought out action against North Korea. Despite this, Congress remains in recess through the rest of the holidays, though a few days are shaved off the end. The American people, especially Hawaiians, are outraged.
January 3rd, 2014 – Despite protests and massive opposition, Congress does not resume until after the holidays. Between December 28th and January 2nd, many unofficial talks were held about what to do about the situation with North Korea. Many news networks discuss the events and almost create a mass panic. Other ones make it clear that they believe the only course of action is a brutal and violent war with North Korea.
January 6th, 2014 – President Obama officially declares war on North Korea. Non-aggressors are given one week to leave North Korea before the attacks start. A massive panic ensues in North Korea, although not much is reported about it due to a media blackout in the country since the attacks. It will be years until the exact numbers of how many managed to get out before the attacks started can start to be estimated.
January 14th, 2014 – United States forces move to attack North Korea. It will later be compared to campaigns in the Middle East. Carpet bombing and drone strikes start the offensive. The UN sits in silence as the United States military devistated the once beautiful country of North Korea.
January 29th, 2014 – United States Armed Forces send ground troops into North Korea, in hopes of taking out Kim Jong Un. In spite of the number of lives lost this proves to be unsuccessful. Despite being able to find eventually find his hideout, troops have no way of getting into it with it becoming a pyrrhic victory.
April 1st, 2014 – United States ground forces are order to evacuated North Korea. The order takes until April 3rd to be initiated. By the 7th, no ground troops remain in North or South Korea belonging to the United States.
April 8th, 2014: Solemn Tuesday – The United States launches the Solemn A8-19 nuclear ballistics missile at Kim Jong Un’s base, completely destroying it. Due to fallout, it another week before confirmation can be made that Kim Jong Un is indeed dead. Once confirmed, North Korea quickly loses its morale and desire to continue fighting the United States. The surrender comes a few days later.
April 12th, 2014: VONK-Day – North Korea surrenders. This day will come to be referred to as Victory Over North Korea Day. President Obama announces North Korea’s surrender on international news. The rebuilding process begins, and elections are held in November. North Korea goes on to become an ally of the United States, and a decade long process of reunited Korea as a whole country begins.
April 14th, 2014: UNVW Day – In the resolution of the events in North Korea, the United Nations gives the United States a verbal warning that such aggression towards another country will not be tolerated in the future. Five days later, the UN leader who is the warning is found dead. Despite a year long investigation into the death, no evidence can be traced back to the United States as being responsible for the death.
July 7th, 2014 – President Obama signs the executive orders closing of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp. It is almost three months before the last of the prisoners is deported from the facility.
November 1st, 2014 – No more prisoners are held by the United States at Guantanamo Bay.
January 21st, 2015 – Angered that President Obama close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, and worried that his term will end before an official war with Iran occurs, a privately ran special forces unit attacks several American embassies in the Middle East, as well as several naval vessels in the area. It is made to look like the Iranians were behind the attacks. President Obama was currently in Iran for peace talks. In an attempt at a kidnapping gone wrong, the President is killed. Vice President Biden suffers a non-fatal heart attack when he hears the news.
April 1st, 2015: No Laughing Matter – Under the advicement of Congress, President Biden declares war on Iran. In poor health after his recent heart attack, President Biden allows his Vice President to handle the official management of the war. Vice President Boehner orders Iran be turned into “a glass parking lot so that none of those bastards ever think of defying us again.” A rumor of the draft starting back up is spread.
*April 21st, 2015: Operation Glass Parking Lot – Before the recently enlisted even have time to finish basic training, a series of nukes are dropped on Iran, completely destroying everything in their path. Vice President Boehner resigns before the investigation into what happened begins. Several other key members of Congress also resign. Due to lack of interest, the investigation gets buried and no politican is ever officially brought up on charges for the events of April 21st.
August 23rd, 2015 – In an official interview, President Biden announces he does not plan to run for President for the Democratic Party for the 2016 election. He gives an unofficial nomination to Hilary Clinton.
January 21st, 2016 – After the State of the Union address given by President Biden, Hilary Clinton announces her plans to run for the Democratic nomination with running mate Nancy Pelosi.
